I recently switched domains and permalinks on one of my blogs and have hit a problem with *some* of the redirects: Mod_Rewrite Help Needed!!

I have an issue with httpd causing spikes in the load on my VPS. And I'm trying to see what's the best way to tackle fixing it, or optimizing what resources I give to apache.

Where can I start ? A snapshot of from top. The load averages seem okay, but that might be off as I'm on a VPS, and I read that you can't always trust that number.

Firstly Hello and this is my first post so forgive me if I've got it in the wrong place or somehow messed up :distrust:

Just to set the scene. I am not in anyway technical but along with a (very patient) freelance web designer have built a really lovely site on a Magento Perfect White theme which has about 800 products on it. (I suppose just to say I haven't really built anything but have entered all the products etc). Up until a month ago I was on a shared server and had a cache plug-in....

I have a few Wordpress installations running and want to create a simple, reliable way of backing up the databases. For various reasons I have decided against plugins, and am using Cron.

I created a script which is called from Cron -

My problem is that this script works perfectly on two of the sites, but on the third...

Hi guys

Client has a VPS from Blacknight running Parallels Panel. Can't find any mention of version but I imagine it's very recent.

I can't seem to enable SSH access to this. If I go to Login>Websites & Domains (Tab) > Web Hosting Access, I can see a setting called 'Access to server over SSH: Forbidden'

There's no way to enable this and I have the highest level admin rights.

Any ideas?

I have this on going issue with one of our domains over the past few months only.
the domain Willows Consulting - web developers is accessible from a magnet router but not a upc router or eircom router.
The domain is 10 years old and was moved about 12 months ago so the dns should be propagated by now !

I am no networking guru and I am getting conflicting messages from the hoster and the network providers.

I currently have a site tracked with Pingdom.com and the test results show the site average response time is 1,127ms. I have no idea if this is good or bad.
