      <content:encoded><![CDATA[I have an issue with httpd causing spikes in the load on my VPS. And I&#039;m trying to see what&#039;s the best way to tackle fixing it, or optimizing what resources I give to apache. <br />
<br />
Where can I start ? A snapshot of from <b>top</b>. The load averages seem okay, but that might be off as I&#039;m on a VPS, and I read that you can&#039;t always trust that number.

Client has a VPS from Blacknight running Parallels Panel. Can&#039;t find any mention of version but I imagine it&#039;s very recent.<br />
<br />
I can&#039;t seem to enable SSH access to this. If I go to Login&gt;Websites &amp; Domains (Tab) &gt; Web Hosting Access, I can see a setting called &#039;Access to server over SSH: Forbidden&#039;<br />
<br />
There&#039;s no way to enable this and I have the highest level admin rights.<br />
