Lots of data, but nothing saying "we're picking on you because .... "

Look into your log files make sure your forum hasn't been affected by "Google proxy hacking".

Doing this search makes me beleive it did:

"Irish SEO, Marketing & Webmaster Discussion" - Google Search

Have a look at the second result. If that's what's going on expect to loose rank in SE very soon.

unfortunately I'm not sure either .. I want the page rank back there haven't been any other reports of people losing page rank have there ?

i have heard that forum or blog only sites have been affected? dunno if its true tho, a search on pr drop bring up a few discussions

Well I guess you were penalised for selling links, if I remember correctly you had TLA on the site. My forum was hit down to 0 for a bit, because (i think) I had too many links, i.e I had a footer with a few links to my sites. I removed them and requested reconsideration, then it was bumped back up

Yea i have noticed , this time google is really strict and giving less rank to many of old sites for the old contents....
