Adsense bleeding pagerank

I heard that Google Adsense can be detrimental to your PR... is this right? I always thought it would use something similar to the "nofollow" attribute. Not that I care about my PR per se, only if it had some affect my search engine rankings.

I don't see how it could be detrimental to your PR !!! AdWords/AdSense should be neutral - i.e. have no effect - when it comes to either PR or SERP's. Thats what they say anyway.

Adsense is it's javascript, which could have links in it. But I don't think this really makes sense.

if it was the case many many landing pages would start to pop up in the SERPs.

Thanks folks, that is more or less what I thought. I can't see Google punishing people for using Adsense considering it is their main earner. Just wanted to make sure.

never heard or thought about this before but I am pretty sure it won't cause PR "leak"

I really wouldn't worry about PR, let alone PR bleeding. Toolbar PR values have no use or value with respect to obtaining rankings in Google.
