I'd say that's fairly accurate. Along with a few variations for the slightly strange wans down the country like "property porn".

Alexa is a surprisingly accurate snapshot of life and culture here in Ireland.

So without using Alexa data is there anyway to find other popular / high traffic websites ? (for Ireland)

Mine is: Traffic Rank: Top 6.97 %

Alexa rank of 2,142,254 which is in the top 6.97 % of all websites.

When I started getting CPC visitors through Google Adwords which are targeted to Ireland only the Alexa rank got better by 3 fold...

Pornhub and redtube ahead of irishtimes and independent..brilliant. Id agree that its a pretty accurate list though.
