Hi, I think getting links posted on .edu and .org websites is very important.
For example, it can work wonders for an Online Gaming website to have link on the website of Gaming Commission.

true. edu and gov are high respected domains by google. i use them and i rank higher than my competitors all time. some new edu domains are provided now on Accurate Stats - Get Free Backlinks Dofollow and Autoapprove 106 .edu blogs list. enjoy. i downloaded for free and i used them right away some got indexed as well so fast.

I spent a long builing up a local list of directories etc but you list has splattered that a bit. Im actaully using some the services offered by the companies
