Gadget Fatigue?

I may be showing my age here, but I came across my box of old 'gadgets' this morning and am still unsure whether to be impressed or slightly ashamed of the shear quantity.
For personal organisers alone there were: 3 Psions, 6 Palms and an Ipaq. Not to mention a multitude of phones, digital cameras, laptops, MP3 players...

The reason for my surprise is that for the last 3-4 years I have become so jaded about gadgets. I used to change my phone at least every six months, now I have had the same one for nearly three years, and can't see any real need to change it. The same with MP3 players. When friends show me their newest toy I can't raise any enthusiasm: I don't even get the old tinge of envy any more. I just feel empty.

The only 'gadget' that has tickled my fancy in aeons is the Sony E-reader (which is brilliant by the way).

Is this a common complaint? Is there a cure? Do I need to see a doctor or a shrink?

No really as you will probably grow out of it. I know I did.
