havent read any of it in years but i remember it was very easy to understand and entertaining; so great for beginners - not sure if he's kept it up to date so might want to keep an eye on w3c standards etc. still a great place to start off or for basic understanding of html/css etc

I know it's not a link, but the O'Reilly book, "CSS Pocket Reference" has proven invaluable for me.
