I guess one of the things the guys on the Proposing team can do is qualify it, and probably should be.

We (the Opposing team) got together today for coffee and a chat about things, the competitive devil on my shoulder is delighted that my team-mates are taking it seriously. We came up with several half decent arguments For the motion, which of course I cannot repeat.

I guess my hope at this point is that the Proposing team give it a decent go, we all have a fun evening, and that I don't make a fool of myself on the podium

Well, just an FYI - I cancelled my participation this morning. Shame, but I believed that I was joining the 'for' team (i.e. that you can make money out of blogging), but apparently got placed on the proposing team.

I cant argue for something I don't believe in, but hope to attend the evening anyhow

I was on Peter (3RSales) team in one of the debates last year. It was good fun, even if the motion was really silly
