Is my site over optimized??

Some of my back links have no pagerank. There are new hotel sites. I'm trying to rank no 1 for "wedding video cork". Finding it hard to pass my competitor. Just dropped to no 3. Was no 2 for at least a year.
Any help would be appreciated. Just did some seo work on my site today.

Well, what "SEO" work did you do? are we to assume that all SEO work is the same? Do we have to guess?

1st thing I did was to put all my links at the footer.
2nd I put more text in the bio area. "Also serving the counties of Kerry Waterford Limerick Tipperary Offaly Kildare Kilkenny & Carlow." which has brought me up 2 places for "wedding video kilkenny"
3rd I installed wp-cache , hopefully this will speed up my site.
Put more key terms in eg "Documentary Style Wedding Videographer based in Cork"

I'll give it a few days and see how it settles.

So thats just onsite SEO, that won't lift your authority, just tie your content to the authority you already have. What you need to do is expand your network online.

The major mistake we make ever is to stop optimizing when we reach to top, Remember there are other people who are also trying to overcome us so at least do some SEO regularly even if you are at top.

By the way some social bookmarks can solve your problem.
