Hi,

Does anyone know why after a site being live for 9 months it would have "no page rank info availible" in the google toolbar.
Also what is the difference between "no page rank info" and a 0/10 page rank????

Thanks.....

Your tool bar could be hitting a dead data centre or at least one thats not providing PR info. Whenever checking the PR of a site use a tool such as Live Page Rank. It will give you the results over a number of different Data Centers rather than just one.

Its still zero on those (even after the update).Must just be a poor site structure!

I don't know if there has been an update in the last few days. One is expected, but I haven't seen any changes. For checking I like DigPageRank Pagerank

Lix1 : what is they site you are checking ? Does it have (m)any links pointing to it ? Are you sure it's indexed ? (welcome to the forum btw.)

Thanks Paul,
I like the forum but Im way out of my depth on it at the moment...I thought there was an update cos I read other people talking about it!!
The site is Innovative eBusiness-web design cork, ecommerce storefronts, cork internet marketing - Home Its a spin off to another business and the site is based on a template-dont know if that has anything to do with it??
There is only 6 links at the moment but i thought PR was determined by H1's, title, keywords etc
As I say this is relatively new to me....

Thanks Paul,
I think its a bit overwhelming for me!! If you were to pay someone to get links for you how much so you be paying per link and do you get any gaurentees with that ie links from pages with PR of 3+ or whatever?
Is this a bad idea-people telling you the got you links when they didnt, links of poor quality etc etc?

Usually when getting someone to find it links its purchased on bulk rather on single links. For example I could advertise to sell 20 links for a price of approx 40 Euro.

The trick is getting links from relevant sites so your case you want links based in the web industry. Forums, blogs and some directories might be a good place to start. You can usually get links for free rather than setting aside a budget.

I would advise however to start learning how to make your site more Search Engine friendly or at least the urls. Just to point out, I can access your home page using different urls as in:

http://www.innovative-ebusiness.ie
http://innovative-ebusiness.ie
http://innovative-ebusiness.ie/?
http://www.innovative-ebusiness.ie/?
http://innovative-ebusiness.ie/?page=index
http://www.innovative-ebusiness.ie/?page=index
These are all considered different pages with the same content. Search Engines are stupid like that.

Personally I would redirect everything to reflect your domain name using http://www.innovative-ebusiness.ie/ and when linking back to the home page always link back to that domain url and not the page.

I would also change the header link, its going back to innovative-ebusiness.ie/? - remove the question mark.

Just to add. I have placed a link on my blog to your site in hope to give you a kick start. If you are interested in a signature link on another Webmaster forum shoot me a PM.
