I have a freecom FSG-3 400GB network drive that I have had for over 4-5 years.

About 2 weeks ago the box got broken and would not connect to the network or turn on.
I removed the hard drive and put it in a USB external case to try gain access to the content.

I have tried everything but its not opening the drive. It shows up as connected and working but when I click on it it says "Disk is not formatted"

I have all my music and photos on it and I really need to get everything off if I can.

Can anyone help with this please.

What file system is on the drive? FAT32? NTFS? Something else?

Its saying the file is FAT32 but when I carried out a scan on the file with a recovery program (can't remember the name of it) it mentioned Unix a couple of times.
I'm sure its FAT32 and Unix is the platform that the box ran on.
