Recruiting new affiliates

Since I am new to affiliate marketing I would like to hear some tips regarding how to recruit a new affiliate.

We are in free classified advertising business. We pay for each free posted ad and also affiliate will get 50% comission for commercial ads

Not the easiest thing to sell I guess...

Push the organic search results and see if you can run some paid serarch as well

thanks for advise. I also regitered for few affilate directories but no answer yet.
