OK, I want to exclude our IP address from stats. Easy enough - just set up an IP excludes filter.

The thing is, we've been collecting unfiltered stats for years and I still want to be able to compare trends with previous years. Also, at the end of the day, staff coming from our IP address are still website visitors.

In a nutshell, I want to be able to collect all the stats and view both with and without internal traffic.

Is there a way to set this up?

I'm not 100% sure if it will work, but if you remove the ip filter and check the stats without it turned on, do you see any difference?

Segment 3 ways, only your office, the world without your office, and the world. That way you can do a cross check.

You cant do it retrospectively in GA. But i'd absolutely filter from here.
If you had the raw log files for the past few years you could eliminate your IP from the data (copied data naturally) and spit it through an opensource Log analyser to make comparisons.
