accommodation booking engine

hi - am looking for recommendations for a simple booking engine for a single cottage. Am looking for something that can both display availability and
accept secure online bookings (through paypal or realex most likely ). The main reason I'm posting here is to see if someone has been using some system for a while and is happy with it.
I was looking at Jomres for Joomla a while back and i think that was looking good but now the clients dont want a joomla system so something like that i guess.
{ am also interested to hear any negative reports }

cost - pref free but could pay up to a few hundred if necessary
language - pref php/mysql but anything that would run on linux

Sirvoy booking system or Planyo

We're using Sirvoy.com - Hotel Reservation System | Booking System for Hotels and Other Accommodations and are really happy with it. It's the cheapest one I know when you have more than 5 rooms (most system providers charge by the number of units). But since you only have one cottage, perhaps take a look at Booking system for Hotels - Planyo - Learn more as well. Haven't tried that one but it seems good.
