Advice on Layout & Design Needed

Dear Comrades,








How could I improve the layout and design working with whats already there?
I tried to base the site on gumtree and craigslist. Thats the kind of thing I am going for.

I am wondering however if showing all the classified ad categories and subcategories on the front page just results in information overload? Do you think it would be better to put them on seperate pages?

I dunno, i don't mind all the information on the page. It's not too much that you are scrolling for ever. Means everything is there instantly to find what you need.

The look of the site needs a bit of a lift, the green you are using is too flat. The logo has some lift too it and then just highlights the flatness of the green throughout the rest of the site, try and give the site a bit more depth in the design. Perhaps it also might be worth sectioning your categories into boxes of some sort, display the top 5 categories in each section .. with a "view all categories" link to get a more detailed break down of each section.
