Whats the story with backlinks. I have a site La Peniche that has several links from other sites (incl some on this one) however Google and seodaves handy backlink tool tell me I have none. My company site has several backlinks to it using the same methods.

What am I missing?

BTW La Peniche just won Best Atmospheric Restaurant 2007 in the Georgina Campbell’s Ireland guide. If you dont know much about restaurants that a pretty big deal.

G only shows a "selection" of links, for a more accurate count try Y! or MSN. BTW, have you recently changed the url structure?

I haven't changed the url but the site is relatively new (<year) . I can't see them in Yahoo ether.

I was wondering as G seems to have indexed a pretty funky Url: La Peniche Restaurant on the Grand Canal Dublin - Christmas Menu

That seems to be a leftover from before I put in some nice SEO links.
