Would love to have some views on our two e-tail sites

We are planning three additional sites in the same format targeting particular product areas so if any criticism is out there, i'd love to get it to improve the sites and take it on board for the new sites.

The Green text on Yellow background is really not good very hard to read the menu on the left-hand side. Use the 5-7 rule on your menu only put 5-7- items then break to next category (break this up it's not working for me)

Order button need's to stand out and POP out not GRAY you need a call to action the gray is not working (read up on order buttons lots online)

No phone number - put this at the top of your page, people want to see your a real business and be able to contact you if needed

looks absolutely dreadful, i'd buy from a scam email before any of those websites. Get them designed professionally

I would echo the green on yellow , it looks like a geocities site. And whats with the /header/ccard_trans.gif . I thought we all linked their .gifs for the cards ? Casinoshop looks much better than Giftmaster imho. YMMV

????? - Why such an attack???? - Constructive criticism like the other posts is very welcome and I will be taking the ideas on board. As to your comments?? - What's eating you??? We've taken (and delivered) over 800 orders since the end of May and been complemented on the ease of shopping on the sites.

Logos have been designed by well respected Graphic artist, Page design is as per software. Colours will be improved but were picked as they reflect the trade in which I am in business. (soft colours easy on the eye etc) Green on yellow may not be best, but yellow background is strongest for gift trade.

It could do with a phone number etc and an address. Cause the header looks very bare. But if it works and you sold over 800 products since may (or whatever date) well then it works and that is the main thing

Thanks for that.

Phone number will be added next week. Also we have developed a call back feature which will send a text to up to 3 mobiles allowing us respond with 60minutes to customers worldwide (via blueface) between 8am & 10pm GMT.

Will also be changing front page colouring & number of master categories (6) and deleting shop by brand and replacing with shop by person options.

I think the main rason it has worked to date is the investment in products especially brands, but there are more & more e-tailer coming on stream and I'd like to stay ahead of them with site presentation. - Wouldn't mind a spider too - even if they are effectively self gratification awards.:p

you asked an opinion, not 'tell me how great my site is'. honestly get them designed properly, sorry if it was harsh, i was just trying to be straight to the point, no offence intended.

I posted here to look for constructive criticism but not plain bashing with no constructive comment. (Yahoo boards can provide that!:) ) - this site was recommended to me by a senior manager in AOL. - I have 3 more sites being developed and also will be adding about 200 products to the giftmaster site so comments about layout & reccomendations as per other posts have been extremely welcome and changes suggested will be taken on board and implemented. We're also about to spend 50k on advertising running up to xmas so the site has to be right.

it was constructive, i cant in all honesty say change x or y when imo the whole site needs a professional look. I wasn't bashing, i do beleive it needs a redesign from scratch, if you can't see that fine... good luck

They could do with some polishing but they're not all that bad. I've bought off worse looking sites in past. :D

On the casino shop site the horizontal green at the top might be a bit bright, maybe a green that's closer to the material on casino tables might look better or maybe even a casino table top worked into it somehow, might be over the top though. I like the menu and sections down the left, maybe you could use little poker chips for the bullets or again that may be ott. The buy now buttons should stand out more and be really inviting, some nice rounded bright buy now buttons. The item descriptions are a bit squashed and hard to read, give them more width and lay out the product info a bit better so it's easier and quicker to digest. The logo and top is a bit boxy, maybe it could be blended better.

Overall lot's of bits and pieces that can be polished up over time.

Thanks for all the comments - a new colour scheme & category layout will be implemented in the next week or so.

Company info is in t & c's but will add it to contact page too.

Short product information will be changed on products where too much info is distorting the picture with all relevant info put on the "click for more info" pages. - 900+ products, may take a while!:D
