After a considerable absence, I'm back, and looking for help!
My requirement is for the following....
I want to be able to send mails to a specific address on my [Linux] server. Once the mail arrives, it is to be parsed by the server, an attachment removed and renamed and the details passed to a database.
I have search the web 'til I'm blue in the face and have come up with the following -
I have inserted a .forward file in /var/spool/virtual/domain.com but this doesn't apparently do anything! Wrong location for the file? I have it temporarily pointing to another mail address.
If I can get the .forward file to work, I will get it to forward the mail to a script which will then do the necessary parsing.
My questions: Is my .forward file in the correct location? Am I going about this the right way? Is there a simpler solution?
