I am wondering if there was any SEO point to taking a feed from Google news (or elsewhere) on a topic and displaying it in an Amazon affiliate site?
Would it help SEO or would you be penalised for duplicate content?

It probably depends on how you do it.

I've got a few feeds running on a couple of sites, such as Irish Hosting Directory-Irish Hosting Directory Ireland - Website hosting - domain registration - dedicated servers - colocation - HostingDirectory.ie - Find Website Hosting in Ireland and Irish Ecommerce Directory - Online Shopping in Ireland - though they're only the headlines.

I've looked at the content scraping solutions that are out there and am not 100% sure which way to treat them. Some of them are pretty cool, but after my recent issues with stolen content I'm feeling a little wary
