Submitting to Directories etc - any tips please?

Ok so on my site I've done my best to optimise for seo and I'm getting plenty of google hits. I get a few from yahoo but very little from the others. I want to submit to all the others. Are there tools that can do it for me?

My site fits a tight niche (Electronic Music & Dj'ing) and would be very suitable for directories etc, which would help with backlinks. What directories should I aim for - and are there sites that do automatic multiple submits for me?

Any advice appreciated.

Fully automated submission is a bad idea imho

Thanks Michele, I had heard that alright, that is why I have not done it yet.

I'll take a look at selfpromotion.com - any others you'd recommend?

I prefer doing all submissions manually, at least this way you can determine the quality of the directory. Although it can be time consuming to find the good free ones.

Install InFormEnter for Firefox which can help filling out those annoying forms.
