Joint Ownership Of A Domain?

Can 2 entities have joint ownership of a domain?

Or is it necessary to form a legal partnership?

I want to do a joint venture with someone in another country in Europe,and I suppose the domain would need to be owned by both of us.

If anyone has done this before,would appreciate some pointers

You'd need to put some form of formal agreement in place, though what exactly would depend on your circumstances.

It depends on the domain extension.
For a .ie domain a "partnership" can hold a domain.
For a .com or other gTLD it would be quite messy.
As a registrar I wouldn't really want to get involved
