Search Engine Optimization should be considered during the planning of any web site. And the best time for implementing good SEO is during the initial design stage.

There are companies online that outsource webmaster service that could sure help other people who are thinking of setting up their own business web sites.

I hope this helps!

Hi, as a newbie to ecommerce, I have just opened a shop in the Buy & Sell Online Store. I am selling compatible inkjet cartridges. I have loaded up Canons, Epsons and HP's. Will launch more in the near future. Prices are pretty competitive, well worth a look @ www.keencostcartridges.ie
Thanks.

Ya, I have to agree with you blacknight. I think I'll email B&S with a few suggestions. If anyone has anymore suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Log On Internet Marketing, Ireland is available for any and all criticism.

It's roughly at about 70% completion now, here's some things on the todo list:

- update stub content pages
- make side bars more effective both in blog and main site
- completely revamp horizontal navigation bar including fixing the search box/button
- add portfolio mini-site
- add new footer (web2.0 style, currently in development)
- bits and pieces around wordpress styles - pullquotes, comments, etc.
- some other miscellaneous bits I've forgotten about

It's a very aesthetically pleasing website but the profile image doesn't suit the site. It's a bit pixelated and should be focused more on a head shot imo.

- nice design. :)

- Add some labels for the form fields (even if you span them into invisibility, they are an essential)

- I would make the top image a background image, but that's just me!

- Use semantic markup - use h1/h2's instead of styling the markup to look like headings. Make footer list of links into a LIST! - they are semantically related so should be grouped as such.

- Don't use an image of your email address. this is totally unacceptable and makes the information un-viewable by anyone using a screenreader/text browser / w/ever..

good luck.

you're very welcome -

(and feel free to "add to my reputation" by clicking on the scales - I need to outdo these other characters in something - since it won't be postcount :D)

Best of luck with your site.

sorry it's going to be bad from me...you asked for it right here::p

>Specialise in CSS

- riiiight - tables for layout still. start with a clean canvas and css it up..

- header background makes me feel at sea.

- header font - hard to tell which letters are which (yeah i am blind..)
ditch the w3logo/link (which shows that your page is still not valid)

- good use of headings - however make the heading images (to the left of the headings) background images since they do not convey any extra meaning. (edit: where the heck is the h1 heading? why not make associate some text with your title image and embed both in a h1 tag...)

- alt text for "completed work" bit is simply "completed" - what does that mean on its own?!

- you misspelled something on your link to me page

- form labels not associated with form elements....

Just out of interest - is this just u editing a blog template ? what is the goal of the site ? portfolio? or is it a pet project/long term goal to get into web design?

hehe it always amuses me that the 1st thing people "plug in" to their new sites is their google ads :)

what may I ask, made you go for "punbb"? I have never heard of it. presumably it has all the mods you would ever need?!

I Hope the site takes off for you and hope to see some "menace penache" getting added over the coming months.
