Google Options

Just noticed new OPTIONS on google search results. As well as time-based there is also an option of search results with more text or with images.

Interesting thing is that the search with images produces a different set of results that the original set of results, but the 'more text' option keeps the original set of results just adding more text.

I've been seeing these this morning also. The "Wonder Wheel" is potentially a very interesting way of graphing the connections google has made between pages from your search results, but seems to be missing data for quite a few searches I did already.

I think the time based filtering is going to be very handy, interesting to see how up-to-date the googlebot can keep it!

I think it will increasingly bring the importance of video marketing into the loop also with the option to search by video. Still a way under-utilised tool in Ireland IMO considering YouTube is now the 2nd most searched engine.
