Hi. This is probably very simple but wondering if someone could help me.
If the "www" is missing in the web address will it affect a pages chances of being found in a search engine?

An example would be http://mysite.com/ versus http://www.mysite.com/

If so how do I get the www version to appear. Any help appreciated.

Google webmaster tools to avoid duplicates.

Also it's a good practise to choose which way you want the website to appear, with or without the www

That can be easily achieved using the .htaccess file

I have fixed that and now it looks fine, but still not finding my website when searching with google, its been up since Saturday.

I used the wordpress installation function you get on Blacknight to install which was great.

I've checked the google webmaster tools, where it says it is not indexed. Added a sitemap, did a little SEO, added the address to a few free business listings, google maps etc, but still nothing. Would anyone have any ideas what the problem is? Thanks

takes time to get into the SERPs.

Try grabbing some incoming links from some websites or directories.

Hi,

That doesn't mean your site is going to get indexed by Google instantly. Just wait for couple of days or weeks and your site will be indexed in Google. Even, you will see good improvement for your targeted keywords too.
